History
The earliest records of the church in Sibin date from 1288. After the Second World War the building fell into ruin; it was rebuilt in 1977–1978. It has been on the heritage register since 1957 and is now a filial church.
Building and interior
Built of brick and stone, the church is a hall with a three-sided east end, a pitched roof and round-arched windows. The interior has a timber beamed ceiling. In the slightly raised chancel stand a wooden altar table and lectern, and the centrepiece is a large wooden cross with a figure of Christ. To the left hangs a painting of Our Lady of Częstochowa, to the right a Christ the King holding the orb in his left hand and raising his right. The chancel also contains a white-painted font with a lid. Statues of the Immaculate Virgin and Christ the King and Stations of the Cross in low relief complete the furnishings.
